Manchester United have agreed to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund for $101 million.

Sancho is expected to sign a five-year contract until 2026.

United also pursued Sancho last summer. Sancho has scored 50 goals in 137 appearances for Dortmund since joining from Manchester City in 2017.

Rafael Benitez has been hired as manager of Everton on a three-year deal.

Benitez previously managed Liverpool and he dismissed Everton at the time as "a small club."

Benitez replaces Carlo Ancelotti as manager.

The contract of Lionel Messi with Barcelona expires on Wednesday meaning he will technically become a free agent on Thursday for the first time in his career.

Barcelona remain confident they will sign Messi to a new contract. Barca are in the process of squaring the numbers with La Liga and the tax office to ensure there are no problems moving forward.

Messi's most recent contract with the club, signed in 2017, was worth more than €500m over four years, including his salary, bonuses and image rights.

Didier Deschamps will remain as manager of France despite their 5-4 defeat to Switzerland on penalties. 

Deschamps is under contract until December 2022.

Deschamps has been in charge of France since 2012. Under him, they reached the 2014 World Cup quarterfinals, the 2016 Euro final and won the 2018 World Cup.

Zinedine Zidane has admitted that coaching France "could be a possibility one day" after Noel Le Graet identified him as his preferred successor for Deschamps.

"My relationship with Le Graet is good. We've known each other since 1998," Zidane said earlier this year.

"It could be an objective one day. I've said it before, when I started coaching 10 years ago, that it's something that could be a possibility one day."

Sergio Ramos has received interest from Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.

Ramos confirmed he will leave Real Madrid this summer as his contract expires. 

ESPN reported last month that City were considering making Ramos an offerif he did not reach a renewal agreement with Madrid.

Liverpool are looking to sign Kingsley Coman, according to reports out of Germany.

Bayern Munich are not looking to let Coman leave, but Liverpool have already began contract negotiations.

Bayern reportedly value Coman at just under $60 million.

Coman is seen as an upgrade on Divock Origi. 

Jean-Clair Todibo has joined Nice from Barcelona for a reported $10.1 million transfer fee.

The fee could rise to $18 million if add-ons are triggered.

Barcelona are also looking to offload Junior Firpo, Philippe Coutinho, Neto, Samuel Umtiti and Martin Braithwaite, but have yet to receive offers.

La Liga president Javier Tebas stated that Barcelona must cut their wage bill before making any new signings.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta, who has already made four signings, is looking to add four more players to the squad. 

Manchester City have been linked with a transfer move for Chelsea right-back Reece James, according to The Athletic.

Pep Guardiola is said to be a "huge admirer" of the 21-year-old.

While James still has four years remaining on his contract, Chelsea have also been linked with Inter wing-back Achraf Hakimi. 

Chelsea are said to see James as a squad player in the long-term as opposed to a starter. 

Real Madrid are currently scouting Dani Olmo's performances at Euro 2020, according to German sources.

Olmo most recently moved from Dinamo Zagreb to RB Leipzig in January 2020 for $26 million.

Real Madrid are reportedly not considering a bid this summer due to their financial situation.

The club remain linked with Kylian Mbappe, while Olmo has also been rumored with Atletico Madrid. 

Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Nuno Espirito Santo as their managerial search continues to drag out.

Nuno has not been offered the job as of yet but positive discussions have taken place in recent days.

Nuno is out of work having left Wolves by "mutual agreement" in May after four years in charge, despite having a contract until 2023. Nuno was close to becoming manager of Crystal Palace before talks collapsed.
