Scott McTominay could miss up to a month after suffering ligament injury in his knee against Newcastle.

"I wouldn't expect him to be back within a few weeks," said Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. "I don't know if it's three or four weeks ... We've just got to find a way through it."

United are currently 5th on the table ahead of their matchup against Arsenal on New Year's Day.

Paul Pogba's agent Mina Raiola reiterated Pogba's commitment to Mancheser United.

"Paul has always respected Manchester United just as Manchester United has also always respected Paul. And the only one that talks for Manchester United and for Paul is Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer]," said Raiola.

Raiola added that Pogba wants to win trophies with the club. 

"As long as Paul is at Manchester United he wants to win trophies... he wants to give it 100%," added Raiola.

Pogba struggled with an ankle injury this season, but will return against Arsenal.

Barcelona have approached officially Dinamo Zagreb over a potential move for Dani Olmo this summer.

Barcelona inquired about Olmo's price, though they have yet to make an official bid.

Zagreb put a $44 million price tag on the 21-year-old Olmo last summer after attracting attention from the likes of Juventus and Atletico Madrid.

Julian Weigl joined Benfica from Borussia Dortmund on a 4.5 year deal.

The 24-year-old made 171 appearances for Dortmund.

Weigl signed with Dortmund from 1860 Munich in 2015. 

Swansea are in talks to get Rhian Brewster on loan from Liverpool.

Brewster, who signed with Liverpool at 14-years-old, has only made 2 appearances for the club this season.

The 19-year-old striker has attracted attention from several Championship sides, though he has a previous relationship with Swansea manager Steve Cooper from England's U17 side. 

Mikel Arteta said he wants Granit Xhaka to stay at Arsenal despite interest from Hertha Berlin.

"He played at Bournemouth, he played really well, he was very committed, he played a really good game. After the game he started to feel ill. He had a temperature and he wasn’t feeling good. The last two days he was in bed. That’s why he wasn’t selected [against Chelsea]," said Arteta.

Xhaka was stripped of his captaincy earlier in the season.

Roma are in talks to be bought by the Friedkin Group lead by billionaire Dan Friedkin, the club confirmed.

Roma has been valued at $840 million, a record valuation for a Serie A side.

Current owner James Pallotta purchased the club in 2012. The current ownership group has been frustrated with a stalled project over building a new stadium in Rome.

Pep Guardiola said that Manchester City could not catch Liverpool this season, instead choosing to focus on upgrading the team for next year.

"It's unrealistic to think about it [catching Liverpool]," said Guardiola. "When a team has the numbers that Liverpool has why should we think about it, when we are 14 [points] or 17 behind? Prepare, play good, be as close as possible, play the knockouts and prepare for next season. Next season we will be here and hopefully we can do better."

Liverpool are currently 13 points ahead of City, with a match in hand.

Andres Iniesta has rejected a move to come to MLS during the 2020 season, according to reports.

The 35-year-old Iniesta is under contract at Vissel Kobe through the 2021 season.

Estudiantes de la Planta confirmed that they also reached out to Iniesta, who rejected a move to Argentina.

David Moyes has returned to West Ham on a 18-month contract.

Moyes replaces the recently sacked Manuel Pellegrini.

Moyes previously kept West Ham from relegation in the 2017-18 season.
