Boca Juniors has rejected a bid from the Los Angeles Galaxy for attacker Cristian Pavon, sources told ESPNFC.

The bid was in the range of $16 million.

Boca value the 23-year-old Pavon at $24 million. 

Juanfran is negotiating a potential move to the Chicago Fire, according to ESPNFC.

Juanfran left Atletico Madrid at the end of this season.

The club are offering the 34-year-old Juanfran a two-year contract. 

MLS Players Association executive Bob Foose said that players have discussed the possibilities of a work stoppage if they cannot come to an agreement with the league on a new collective bargaining agreement.

The existing CBA will expire on January 31st, 2020.

"A strike is never the goal, and it's not our goal. If we each come to the table and work hard to find common ground, I'm very confident we can reach an agreement that will benefit both the player pool and the league. That's my hope and the hope of all the players. If it doesn't happen, at that point the player pool will be making a decision as to whether or not they're willing to play with the terms that are on the table. Our players have been preparing and talked consistently over the last year for the possibility of a stoppage. We continue to talk about it and make plans, both big-picture and little-details kinds of plans. That's what we have to do. We have to be prepared," said Foose.

Foose also discussed what the players were looking for in the next CBA, including a fairer system in which players are not forced into roster spots with a limited range of salaries. 

Barcelona haven't received a single bid for Coutinho, according to ESPNFC.

Barcelona have made selling Coutinho a priority to pay for summer additions.

Barcelona will be willing to sell Coutinho for $116 million. 

Pep Guardiola has agreed to a long-term partnership with Puma.

Guardiola will endorse Puma products off the field as well as advise the company on future products.

Guardiola joins Manchester City players Sergio Aguero and David Silva on Puma.

Manchester United will miss center back Eric Bailly for the next five months after knee surgery.

Bailly injured his knee in a 2-1 win over Tottenham in a preseason friendly.

United are still in talks to add Harry Maguire. 

Manchester United and Juventus are said to be in talks for a potential swap involving Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala.

Though talks are still in their early stages, Dybala is said to be reticent about joining a club not in the Champions League. 

Lukaku remains in talks with Inter. 

Inter are set to make a $16.7 million transfer bid for Edin Dzeko.

Inter, who are looking for a target striker, have also been linked with Romelu Lukaku.

Roma manager Paulo Fonseca is said to be happy with Dzeko and would not part with his striker unless a reasonable fee is met. 

Everton are closing in on a deal to sign Moise Kean from Juventus.

Kean would cost Everton just over $40 million.

Everton have signed three players this summer, including Fabian Delph, Andre Gomes, and Jonas Lossl.
