Eric Bailly Signs Extension With Manchester United Through 2022

Manchester United extended Eric Bailly's contract through the 2022 season.

Bailly has played in just 74 matches since arriving at the club in 2016, and has yet to play for United this season due to a knee injury.

Bailly is set to return to the side at the end of this month.

Barcelona have sacked Ernesto Valverde and hired Quique Setien.

Setien's contract runs through the 2022 season.

Ronald Koeman, Mauricio Pochettino and Garcia Pimienta were also rumored as candidates to replace Valverde.

Valverde took the Barcelona job in the summer of 2017. He won a league title in his second season as manager.

Barcelona are currently top of the La Liga table.

David Moyes has returned to West Ham on a 18-month contract.

Moyes replaces the recently sacked Manuel Pellegrini.

Moyes previously kept West Ham from relegation in the 2017-18 season.

“It’s fabulous to be back,” said Moyes. “It feels great to be home. I’ve missed being here because I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed being around the stadium and I loved being in this part of the world and I missed the club, so I can’t wait to get started.

The 44-year-old most recently lead Monterrey to a CONCACAF Champions League title.

Mikel Arteta stated that Arsenal needed to compete for major trophies again during his opening press conference as Arsenal manager.

Arteta signed a deal through the 2023 season.

“Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in the world. We need to be competing for the top trophies in the game and that’s been made very clear to me in my discussions with Stan and Josh Kroenke, and the senior people from the club," said Arteta.

The 38-year-old Arteta played at Arsenal from 2011 to 2016.

Arsenal paid Manchester City $1.1 million to release Arteta from his contract.

James Milner Signs Contract Extension With Liverpool Through 2022

Liverpool extended the contract of James Milner through the 2022 season.

"I've been lucky and privileged to play for this club for four-and-a-half years now, it has been an amazing time seeing how the club is changing and developing," said Milner.

Milner's extension comes on the heels of the club also extending Jurgen Klopp.

The 33-year-old Milner joined Liverpool from Manchester City in 2015. He has made 198 appearances for the club.

Jurgen Klopp Signs Liverpool Extension Through 2024

Jurgen Klopp has signed a two-year extension with Liverpool that keeps with at the club through 2024.

Assistants Peter Krawietz and Pepijn Lijnders were also extended through 2024.

Klopp signed for Liverpool in 2015. 

“For me personally this is a statement of intent, one which is built on my knowledge of what we as a partnership have achieved so far and what is still there for us to achieve. When I see the development of the club and the collaborative work that continues to take place, I feel my contribution can only grow. People see what happens on the pitch as a measure of our progress and although it is the best measure, it’s not the only measure. I have seen the commitment from ownership through to every aspect and function of the club you can think of," said Klopp.

Ancelotti was sacked by Napoli following Tuesday's 3-0 win over Genk.

"Seeing Napoli in his league position is embarrassing. This team has the potential to make the top four. I have encountered a team aware of their difficult situation who want to do well. I have a good feeling," said Gattuso.
