Tottenham Hotspur have begun a late pursuit of Chelsea's Conor Gallagher before the summer transfer window ends.

Gallagher has two seasons remaining on his deal and there's a strong chance he tries to leave Chelsea before the end of the window.

Bayern Munich are also interested in Gallagher, who is valued at £50 million.

Gallagher's workrate and ability to play in a variety of roles would make him a good fit in Ange Postecoglou’s 4-3-3 system.

Wolves have verbally agreed to a $60 million deal with Manchester City for Matheus Nunes.

City have been searching for midfield reinforcements since Kevin De Bruyne signed was ruled out for up to six months with a hamstring injury sustained on the opening day of the season in the win at Burnley.

Giovanni Reyna has been omitted from the United States roster for their upcoming friendlies. 

Reyna in the process of returning to full fitness after sustaining a calf injury at the Concacaf Nations League final against Canada last June. He just returned to training with Dortmund last week.

Reyna and Gregg Berhalter have not communicated since a feud involving his parents with the manager became public. Reyna was nearly sent home from the World Cup.

Wolves manager Gary O'Neil said he "fully expects" midfielder Matheus Nunes to remain with their club despite interest from Manchester City.

Nunes has stopped training with Wolves as he continues to seek a transfer to City.

City delivered an opening offer of $59 million, which was turned down by Wolves.

Nunes moved to Wolves from Sporting Lisbon in August last year for a club-record fee of around €45m ($48.9m) on a five-year contract with an option of a further 12 months.

Roma has agreed to acquire Romelu Lukaku on a season-long loan from Chelsea. 

Roma will cover Lukaku's salary totaling €7.5 million over 10 months. 

Luakaku spent three years on Chelsea’s books between 2011-14 but made just 10 appearances between loan spells at West Brom and Everton, to join up with the former Blues manager Jose Mourinho in Rome.

Joao Cancelo will go from Manchester City to Barcelona on a loan that contains an option to be made permanent. 

The move will be Cancelo’s second loan spell in seven months after he joined Bayern Munich at the end of the previous transfer window.

Bayern declined the option to sign Cancelo on a permanent basis and it was suggested Arsenal would make a move for him this summer. 

Matheus Nunes has essentially gone on strike in an effort to force a move from Wolves to Manchester City.

Wolves rejected City’s opening bid of around £47 million for Nunes out of hand and are holding out for more than £60 million.

Nunes signed with Wolves in a club-record deal worth £42 million from Sporting last summer.

Manchester United are exploring the possibility of signing a left-back following an injury to Luke Shaw.

Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella, Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilón and Barcelona’s Marcos Alonso are on Erik ten Hag’s list of targets.

Ten Hag fielded Diogo Dalot at left-back in the 3-2 win against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Bernardo Silva has signed a one-year contract extension with Manchester City that ties him to the club through 2026.

Silva has been linked with moves to Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain this summer but his new deal means he will remain in Manchester beyond the transfer deadline on Sept.1

"I've had six incredible years at Manchester City and I'm delighted to extend my time here," said Silva.
