Chelsea have accepted a $42.42 million bid from Atletico Madrid for Conor Gallagher. Gallagher will decide his future in the coming days as negotiations with Atleti on a contract continue.
Gallagher has one season remaining on his deal with Chelsea.
Gallagher has previously turned down a move to Aston Villa while Tottenham have also been monitoring his situation for several months.
Jurgen Klopp has publicly stated he will not consider the managerial vacancies with England or the United States. Klopp stepped down as manager of Liverpool in May and plans to take at least a year off and may never return to the sidelines.
"As of today, that's it for me as a coach," Klopp said at the International Coaches' Congress in Wurzburg, Germany.
"I didn't quit on a whim, but it was a general decision. I've also coached the best clubs in the world.
"Maybe we can talk about it again in a few months. I still want to work in football and help people with my experience and contacts. Let's see what else there is for me."
Gareth Southgate stepped down as manager of England after the Euro 2024 final, while the USMNT fired Gregg Berhalter following their disappointing performance in Copa America.
Barcelona has begun to give up on the possibility of signing Nico Williams this summer and are evaluating other options such as Dani Olmo.
Barcelona's top target is Williams, who has a $62.73 million release clause the club insists they can afford to pay. Barcelona, however, is unable to guarantee Williams will be registered with LaLiga immediately.
Barcelona believes a deal for Olmo would be easier to secure.
Fulham have agreed to a $43.7 million transfer with Arsenal for Emile Smith Rowe. Smith Rowe, 23, becomes Fulham's first permanent transfer of the summer as they look to reinvest the money made from Joao Palhinha's move to Bayern Munich.
Smith Rowe made 115 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 18 goals and providing 13 assists.
Last week, Pep Guardiola said Kevin De Bruyne would remain with Manchester City for the 24-25 season, but it is now indicating it is up to the player. De Bruyne, who is receiving interest from the Saudi league, could leave if he decides to accept an offer.
"The club informed me that they didn't get an offer," Guardiola said. "To leave [he] needs an offer. I don't know what is going happen but I'd love for him to stay.
"He earned the credit to decide his future for himself for what he has done for this club is massive. That's why he has to decide. The info I have right now [is that] he is going to stay."
Pep Guardiola acknowledged Julian Alvarez is considering his future as he remains outside Manchester City's primary XI. Alvarez featured in 54 matches for City last season, but was not given enough playing time in their biggest matches.
Alvarez is a target of Atletico Madrid.
"I knew that he [Álvarez] said that he is going to think about it," Guardiola said.
"When he finishes thinking about it, his agent is going to call [City football director] Txiki [Begiristain] and we are going to see what happens. I know he wants to play in important moments but the others [do] too. I have 18 or 19 players that want to play important games.
"He played a lot but if he wants more, it's fine. When he thinks about it he'll inform us."
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is interested in constructing a new stadium to replace Old Trafford with a capacity of 100,000. The other option is a renovation of Old Trafford, but that would mean a drop in revenue over the short-term with sections periodically closed during the construction.
United held a number of meetings before their US tour with those responsible for developing SoFi to learn from the project, particularly the campus element, as the club assess how best to use the Old Trafford footprint.
Arsenal has completed a $53.9 million transfer with Bologna for Riccardo Calafiori. Calafiori has signed a five-year contract and will wear No. 33 for the Gunners.
"It feels amazing -- it was tough until now, but finally we're here & I cannot wait to start to train with the team & play for the fans," Calafiori said of the move.
"I spoke a lot with the coach, with Edu & they convinced me, but I was already convinced by myself. I think it's the best project for myself for the next [few] years."
Calafiori mostly played center-back last season under Thiago Motta, but he can also play left-back, which gives Arsenal's strong backline even more versatility.
Emile Smith Rowe is moving closer to joining Fulham from Arsenal on a transfer. Fulham's £30 million bid was rejected, but they have since increased it to be worth up to £35 million with add-ons.
Smith Rowe won the last of three England caps in 2022 and has since slipped down the pecking order at Arsenal. Smith Rowe has also received interest from Crystal Palace.
Aston Villa is lining up a $65 million transfer for Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid. Felix joined Atleti in 2019 from Benfica for €126 million, but he has been loan most of the past two seasons with Chelsea and then Barcelona.
Felix, who is still just 24, had 10 goals and four assists across 46 matches with Barcelona last season with a WhoScored rating of 6.78.
Villa will play in the Champions League this season five years after winning promotion back to the Premier League.
