Messi will not return to Barcelona until after the international break as he recovers from a calf injury. 

He will sit out this weekend's match at Osasuna, but will likely return on September 14th against Valencia. 

Argentina have matches against Chile and Mexico on September 5th and September 10th. 

James Rodriguez injured his calf against Real Valladolid.

Rodriguez will miss Real Madrid's next match against Villarreal this weekend.

Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard, Brahim Diaz, Rodrygo Goes, Ferland Mendy, Luka Jovic and Thibaut Courtois are all currently injured for Real Madrid.

Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe were both injured during PSG's 4-0 win over Toulouse.

Cavani will miss four weeks with a hip injury, while Mbappe will be out at least three weeks with a hamstring injury.

Both players will miss at least two league games for PSG. 

Messi will miss Barcelona's match against Real Betis as he recovers from a calf injury.

Messi missed Barcelona's 1-1 draw against Athletic Bilbao in the season opener.

Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele will also miss the match.

Ousmane Dembele will sit out at least five weeks with a hamstring injury.

Dembele suffered the injury during Barcelona's opening weekend match against Athletic Bilbao.

Barcelona also lost Luis Suarez to injury in the match. 

Messi will miss Barcelona's season opener against Athletic Bilbao tomorrow with a calf injury.

"We are not going to take risks with any player, even less with Leo. He hasn't trained or played with the team. We will wait a while but his recovery process is going well," said Ernesto Valverde.

Valverde gave no updates Messi's potential return date. 

Alisson will miss the next several weeks with a calf injury, according to Jurgen Klopp.

The goalie was injured while kicking a ball in Liverpool's 4-1 win over Norwich City.

“[It’s] not too cool. It’s a calf injury which takes him obviously out for a while. I don’t want to make now [an] exact prognosis on when he will be back but it will not be Wednesday for sure, so now then we have to see. It takes a while, it takes a couple weeks for sure, and we have to see. I saw already like ‘six weeks’ and stuff like this, but Ali was not a lot injured in his career so I would like to wait a little bit to see how he develops in that process now, but he is not in for the next few weeks," Klopp told Liverpool's official website. 

Leroy Sane will miss the next six months after injuring his knee in the Community Shield match against Liverpool.

Sane will have surgery on his ACL next week.

Sane had been rumored with a potential move to Bayern Munich, though Pep Guardiola said it was never close to happening.

“I didn’t think about him leaving. I always said he’s our player and he didn’t tell me he wanted to leave. Always I thought he was ours," said Guardiola. 

Leroy Sane will undergo surgery on his ACL after sustaining the injury during the Community Shield.

“Leroy will have surgery in the coming week. Manchester City will provide Leroy with all the support and guidance he needs, and everyone connected with the club wishes him a quick and full recovery," released the club in a statement.

Sane has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich throughout the summer.

Dele Alli will miss several weeks due to another hamstring injury.

Alli has sustained injuries to his left hamstring on four occasions over the past two seasons. 

“I don’t believe Dele is going to arrive for the start of the season,” Pochettino said. “I think it’s the same area [as previous injuries]. We are worried. He is still only 23 and has had many hamstring problems in the last few years. He needs to pay attention a little bit about what is going on in his body but we are here to help him. It is a minor injury and in a few more weeks we hope he will be ready.”
