Manchester United will miss center back Eric Bailly for the next five months after knee surgery.

Bailly injured his knee in a 2-1 win over Tottenham in a preseason friendly.

United are still in talks to add Harry Maguire. 

Marco Asensio tore his ACL and meniscus in his left knee during a friendly against Arsenal.

Asensio had come on in the second half and scored a goal before the injury.

Asensio's injury could mean that Gareth Bale or Dani Ceballos remain with the club. 

Brahim Diaz will miss the next 4-5 weeks after suffering a bicep injury.

Diaz, who has been the target of loan rumors, had been hoping to impress Zinedine Zidane and remain at Real Madrid.

Diaz missed the U21 European Championship with a thigh injury.
