Alexis Sanchez's return to training with Arsenal has been cast into doubt due to the flu.

Sanchez is out of the country and his representatives have been in touch with the club.

Sanchez would like to leave Arsenal this summer to join Manchester City. Paris Saint-Germain is also interested in Sanchez though he would prefer a reunion with Pep Guardiola.

Arsenal has remained steadfast that Sanchez is not for sale.

Pedro has suffered a concussion and facial injuries after colliding with David Ospina.

Pedro is expected to be back in training with a mask in 10 days after he suffered multiple fractures.

Pedro stayed the night in the hospital.

Mario Gotze remains "one of Borussia Dortmund's most important players," CEO Hans Joachim-Watzke said.

Gotze had been out since February with a metabolic illness.

"From his mentality and attitude to his great passion, Mario was always ready," he told Welt am Sonntag. "That was never a concern.

"However, he suffered a serious illness. We have never talked about it in detail and will not.

"Michael Zorc and I had very close contact with him over the last five months. We knew everything. The fact that it is now all going in the right direction makes us all happy.

"If Mario is fit, he is one of Borussia Dortmund's most important players."
