Inter Milan have secured a £2 million loan agreement with Manchester City for Stevan Jovetic.

Inter can buy Jovetic at the end of the season for £10.25 million.

Since signing in summer 2013 for £22 million, Jovetic has struggled to establish himself in the City XI.

Roma have opened talks with Arsenal over a loan deal for their Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

Arsene Wenger has publicly expressed his hope that Szczesny and David Ospina would battle it out for a starting spot in his side this season, despite the arrival of Petr Cech from Chelsea.

One of the potential deals under discussion between Arsenal and Roma is a season-long loan with the option to turn the transfer into a permanent move next summer. Szczesny is believed to be keen to pursue a career at a new club.

Arda Turan joined Barcelona this week and he'll have to wait until January to begin playing with the club.

Turan could be loaned to Galatasaray or Fenerbahce during the first part of the season.

“It’s going to be hard not playing for six months but the important thing is that I will play for Barça,” Turan said in an interview with Spanish radio on Tuesday.

“I will work until I am able to make my debut in January and I will help the team to win all the trophies,” he said, adding that it will be a “dream” for him to play in the same team as Lionel Messi, Neymar and Andrés Iniesta.

Andrea Pirlo will not be loaned out to Manchester City by sister club New York City FC.

NYCFC signed Pirlo this week and he'll join the club this season.

“When Frank was signed, he was looking at eight months of not doing anything unless he went over somewhere and played on loan,” a source told Goal USA. “Whereas Pirlo is coming in and hopefully playing through to December, and then he only has a quick break and is back for preseason.

“He’s signed with New York City FC.”

Radamel Falcao has signed with Chelsea and will join the club for their North American preseason tour.

The deal is believed to be a one-year loan from his French club, Monaco, with an option to make the move permanent next summer.

Agreement was eventually reached late last month, with Chelsea expected to pay the striker nearer £180,000 a week with a loan fee negotiated at around £4 million for his services.

Once one of the most feared strikers in the world, Falcao has endured a wretched time since rupturing his cruciate ligament in a French Cup tie 19 months ago.
