Report: Frank Lampard Leaves Chelsea For New York City FC

Frank Lampard has left Chelsea to join New York City FC, according to the Mirror.

Lampard will go to NYCFC on a free transfer.

Lampard was at Manchester City's Carrington complex on Saturday to complete the move.

Lampard is understood to be have agreed to a basic wage significantly less than the £150,000-a-week that he picked up at Chelsea, but could be offset by bonuses.

Lampard played 13 seasons for Chelsea. 

David Villa also will join NYCFC as a designated player, along with Lampard.

Ángel Correa Joins Atleti On Five-Year Deal

Atlético Madrid has signed Ángel Correa on a five-year deal after coming to an agreement with San Lorenzo of Argentina.

Correa, 19, who hails from Lionel Messi’s home town of Rosario, has helped San Lorenzo, the favorites, reach the Libertadores Cup semi-finals, which will be held after the conclusion of the World Cup finals in Brazil in July.

Claudio Pizarro Re-Signs With Bayern

Bayern Munich has signed Claudio Pizarro to a new deal through 2015.

Pizarro gives Bayern depth at striker and his return is yet another indicator that Mario Mandzukic will depart with the arrival of Robert Lewandowski.

"Claudio has shown this season how important he still is to the team. We are very pleased that we can count on him for another season," Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge commented on the striker's new deal.

Pizarro re-joined Bayern from Werder Bremen in the summer of 2012 after previously playing for the Allianz Arena side between 2001 and 2007.

The striker netted 10 goals in 17 Bundesliga appearances this term.

Barcelona Signs Alen Halilovic

Barcelona has signed 17-year-old midfielder Alen Halilovic from Dinamo Zagreb on a five-year contract.

Halilovic will initially join the Barcelona’s B team but is not expected to have to wait long for first team opportunities under the new manager, Luis Enrique. He has been compared to Lionel Messi and his countryman Luka Modric.

"This is a great day and I am very happy," Halilovic said at his unveiling on Monday. 

"I have always been a Barca fan and I know a lot about the club. I have been watching Barca B this season – they are a young team who play great football.

"I can speak a little Catalan. I’m very happy to have been given the chance to play at the biggest club in the world. Hello to all the Barca fans and Visca el Barca!"

Patrice Evra Agrees To One-Year Deal With United

Patrice Evra and Manchester United have agreed to a contract for the 14-15 season.

United has been remaking their back line this offseason, parting was with Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.

The left-back, who was 33 last week, joined United from AS Monaco in 2006 and has made 379 appearances for the club, winning 10 major honors.

Piqué Agrees To Four-Year Extension With Barcelona

Gerard Piqué has agreed upon a four-year extension to remain at Barcelona until the end of the 18-19 season.

"Barcelona announce they have reached an agreement with Gerard Pique for the renovation of his contract, which would have finished on June 30, 2015, for the next five seasons.

"The new contract will run until the end of the season 2018/19 season and will be signed in the coming days."

Piqué was born in Barcelona and came up through La Masia academy before joining Manchester United in 2004. He returned four years later to become a key part of Pep Guardiola's defense.

Messi Agrees To Increase With Barça From $17.8M To $27.4M Net

Lionel Messi and Barcelona have agreed upon an improved contract that will see his pay increase from $17.8 million per season net to $27.4 million net.

Messi's current deal ends in June 2018 and contains a $342 million release clause with both of those terms remaining unchanged.

Talks of an improved deal have been ongoing since the fall when Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo were threatening his status as the world's best-paid player.

When talks stalled, there were rumors of a possible transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich or even Real Madrid.

Barça released the following statement on the deal: "FC Barcelona has reached an agreement to adjust the terms in the contract binding Leo Messi to the club as a professional first team player. The revised and updated contract will be signed over the next few days."

Bayern Extends Manuel Neuer Through 2019

Manuel Neuer has signed a contract extension to remain at Bayern Munich through 2019.

"Our goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has today extended his contract to 2019," Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told reporters.
