Barcelona Interested In André Gomes As Possible Replacement For Xavi

Nov 19, 2014 10:38 PM

André Gomes has been heavily scouted by Barcelona and A Bola reports the club may have already had contact with his camp.

Gomes has made just 10 appearances for Valencia, but he's been impressive in the midfield while on a season-long loan from Benfica.

Gomes is just 21 and Barça sees him as a possible candidate to replace Xavi even though they're different types of players.

Nov 19, 2014 11:02 AM

Nani believes he still has a future at Manchester United despite currently being out on loan at Sporting Lisbon.

"Why not? I went out [to Sporting] to play more and get to my best. If there is an opportunity, we will see."

Nani has scored 40 goals in 228 games for United since joining from Sporting in 2007, but has made just 14 Premier League starts since 2012.

Southampton Wants To Make Alderweireld's Loan From Ateli Permanent

Nov 14, 2014 10:59 AM

Southampton is hoping to make Toby Alderweireld's stay permanent. Alderweireld came over on loan from Atlético Madrid on the final day of the summer transfer window and has been a critical part of their defense.

Alderweireld joined Atleti for roughly £5 million from Ajax in September 2013.

Diego Simeone already had Diego Godin and Miranda playing central defense, which would have limited Alderweireld's appearances.

There is concern for Atleti that bigger clubs will target Godin and Miranda.

Arsenal May Loan Joel Campbell To Inter Milan

Nov 12, 2014 11:09 AM

Joel Campbell may move to Inter Milan on a loan deal from Arsenal.

Campbell was impressive last season for Olympiakos and followed that up in the World Cup with Costa Rica, but he hasn't featured much for Arsenal even with injuries to Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski.

Campbell joined Arsenal in 2010, but is now looking like he'll go on another loan deal as he did previously with Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiakos.
