Pepe Reina will not return to Napoli, who spent last season on loan with the Serie A team.

Reina has two seasons remaining on his contract with Liverpool.

Napoli have three senior keepers in their squad - Rafael Cabral, Mariano Andujar and Roberto Colombo.

José Mourinho has confirmed that Thibaut Courtois will return to Chelsea for preseason, ending his three-year loan at Atlético Madrid.

"When the World Cup in Brazil is over, Courtois will be coming straight back to Stamford Bridge – end of story,” Mourinho said.

Courtois has yet to play for Chelsea following his acquisition in 2011 from Genk.

Courtois is playing in the World Cup with Belgium and said he would only be happy returning to Chelsea as the No. 1 option in goal.

“Do I want to be No1 wherever I play next season? Yes, I think with my age and the performances I had I want to play. To be on the bench is not the nicest thing.”

Atlético Madrid has reportedly agreed to acquire Romelu Lukaku on a loan from Chelsea.

Chelsea is bringing in Diego Costa to play striker from Atleti and may also acquire Mario Mandžukić from Bayern Munich.

Several days ago, Lukaku admitted that he wanted to leave Chelsea and he would use the 2014 World Cup to set the stage for a possible transfer. Lukaku spent last season at Everton.

“You know Chelsea: every year they buy a new top striker. I remember me coming into the dressing room last year and seeing Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba and going: ‘Whoah! What’s happening here?’ But no problem. Many clubs are interested in me.

“At this stage I have to look to myself. I have to play a good World Cup. That’s very interesting for all the players looking for a transfer, and I must be one of them. Chelsea know my point of view.”
