Manchester United has activated their one-year extension on the contract of David De Gea.

De Gea is now under contract until 2020.

De Gea would have been free to talk to other clubs had they not triggered their clause.

At 28, De Gea could still have a future away from United, presumably in his native Spain.

N'Golo Kante has signed an extension with Chelsea through 2023.

The deal is worth approximately £290,000 per week.

Kante joined Chelsea from Leicester City in 2016.

Dele Alli explained why he signed a new six-year contract extension with Tottenham Hotspur.

“Some of the players who have also signed, I think you can see that we all want to be a part of this journey together,” Alli said. “We all want to achieve something great. As young players as well, we want to keep improving and this is a great place to do that. The feeling around the place is positive.”

Alli also said the commitment from Mauricio Pochettino was also a big reason for his decision to stay.

“You want to have a good relationship with the manager and we all feel like we’ve got that here,” he said. “We all love the way we work. The style of play, we all want to be a part of it. He’s done a lot for me.”

Asked to expand on day-to-day dealings with Pochettino, Alli said: “He’s a very nice guy but at the same time he can’t be too nice. Everyone has got a lot of respect for him. You don’t want to get on his bad side.”
