Ramsey was immediately substituted following the injury on Saturday against Tottenham.
Ramsey will miss two important Champions League matches, a trip to Chelsea this Sunday, along with two additional EPL matches.
Chelsea remains concerned with the recurring hamstring injury to Diego Costa.
Costa was held out of Wednesday's Champions League match until the final 15 minutes.
“It was not to protect Costa for the game on Sunday [Manchester City vs. Chelsea], it was because he was not in condition to start the game,” José Mourinho said. “Playing on Saturday, three days is not enough for him to recover.”
Chelsea is expected to have Didier Drogba and Loic Remy play in less important matches to preserve Costa.
Thiago Alcântara has begun to train with his Bayern Munich teammates as he recovers from a partially torn MCL in his knee suffered last March.
Thiago initially appeared to be fit in time for the 2014 World Cup, but endured a recovery setback shortly before the tournament and did not make the Spain squad.
Thiago won't play in Bayern's next two matches, but the club is confident he will return soon.
Phil Jones will miss up to one month with a torn hamstring.
Jones suffered the injury while playing for England against Switzerland.
“Phil has a torn hamstring,” Louis van Gaal said. “He is maybe out for three weeks or a month.”
Jones is likely to miss United’s next four matches.
Sami Khedira has undergone an “arthroscopic revision” on his left knee, with no timetable yet set for the 27-year-old’s return.
Khedira recently suffered a left hamstring injury, which caused a rift between the club and the German national team.
Due to Khedira’s injury and Xabi Alonso’s departure before the summer transfer deadline, the club will need to rely heavily on Toni Kroos and Luke Modric, as well as youngster Asier Illarramendi.
Brendan Rodgers has confirmed Daniel Sturridge will miss "up to three weeks" after suffering a thigh injury with England.
Sturridge missed England's 2-0 victory over Switzerland on Monday after picking up the problem in a training session following last week's friendly win over Norway.
Sturridge could miss six matches.
Marco Reus will miss at least four weeks after injuring his ankle again while playing for Germany.
“Team doctor Markus Braun on Monday diagnosed a partial tear and stretching of ligaments. The club expects the player to undergo a rehabilitation programme of four weeks,” Dortmund said in a statement.
Reus missed the World Cup after injuring the same ankle during Germany's final warmup match.
Siem de Jong will be out for several month after picking up a right thigh injury in training.
"Initial indications are that he is likely to be out for a number of months," said a Newcastle spokesman.
De Jong was acquired by Newcastle United in a summer transfer from Ajax.
Robin van Persie will not need knee surgery and will fight to keep his spot in the Manchester United XI.
"I am impressed that people have the imagination to invent something like that," said van Persie in regards to rumors of his injury.
"I do not know where it comes from and can say with my hand on my heart that I won't be in a hospital to have the operation."
Radamel Falcao's arrival has prompted questions whether he, Van Persie and Wayne Rooney can all fit into the same side or one of them will be dropped.
But Van Persie said of Falcao, "I welcome his arrival, he makes us better. At a top club you should always go for the best, which also fits my philosophy.
"Falcao must fight for his place, as I also have to. We must duke with Wayne Rooney and James Wilson to see who's playing."
