Ángel di María has not been ruled out of Sunday's World Cup Final for Argentina.

"Angel is at a stage of recovery and there cannot be a time frame put on it," his agent, Eugenio Lopez, told radio station FM Delta.

"He was subjected to treatment with stem cells to accelerate recovery.

"Angel wants to play, no matter what, and he will make every effort to get there.

Van Persie In Doubt For Semifinals With Stomach Bug

Jul 8, 2014 9:18 PM

Robin van Persie did not train with the Netherlands on Tuesday due to a stomach bug and his status for the semifinals against Argentina is in doubt.

"He had some stomach problems, some intestinal problems, so it’s better not to train then because you make it worse," said Louis van Gaal, who is likely to switch back to the 5-3-2 shape he favored against Spain and Chile.

"Van Persie is our captain. So in that capacity alone he is very important. In principle my captain will always play but they have to be in good shape."

Neymar Has No Chance Of Playing In World Cup Final

Jul 7, 2014 10:27 PM

The World Cup final is in six days and there is no chance Neymar will be able to play despite growing rumors coming out of Brazil.

“Let’s not create an illusion to the Brazilian people,” team doctor Luiz Runco told Globo TV. “There isn’t the smallest possibility for Neymar to play on July 13 if Brazil reaches the final. If Neymar becomes fit to play a professional football match before initially expected, it will be because of the positive progress of his condition through the treatment currently being administered.”

Neymar suffered a fractured vertebrae in Friday's 2-1 win over Colombia.
