Christian Pulisic Dismisses New Round Of Liverpool Rumors

Christian Pulisic has dismissed rumors linking him to a move to Liverpool.

Pulisic signed a new contract in January with Borussia Dortmund.

"Yes, I have read that as well," said Pulisic about the rumors. "What can I say? I'm focused on the start of the season.

"I'll lay it on the line for you: I am not thinking about changing clubs. After all, I only signed a new deal through to 2020 in January. I am very happy at Dortmund."

Juventus Buys Blaise Matuidi From PSG For $23.5M

Juventus has agreed upon a deal with Paris Saint-Germain to buy Blaise Matuidi for £18.2 million ($23.5 million) plus add-ons.

Matuidi joined PSG from St-Etienne in 2011 and was one of the club's longest serving players.

Matuidi becomes Juve's 10th signing of the summer, following Federico Bernardeschi, Juan Cuadrado, Douglas Costa and Wojciech Szczęsny.

MLS Teams Worth $223M On Average

The average MLS team is now worth $223 million, which is up from 20 percent last season.

The cost of an expansion fee has jumped from $40 million five years ago (Montreal Impact) to $150 million (Minnesota and Atlanta).

The LA Galaxy is now the league's most valuable team with a value of $315 million, a 19% increase from last year. The Galaxy generated $63 million in revenue last season.

The Sounders, now worth $295 million, remain a close second.

49 Stadiums Included In USA, Mexico, Canada 2026 World Cup Bid

Thirty-four cities in the United States, seven cities in Canada and three in Mexico are on the list of proposed locations to host World Cup games in 2026.

Those cities will then have until early January 2018 to prepare their bid to become a World Cup host.

The final bid will include 20-25 venues.

The bid lists a total of 49 stadiums across 44 cities, with three venues in the Los Angeles area and two in Dallas, Montreal and Toronto. Stadiums hosting every NFL team will be submitted with the exception of the Buffalo Bills.

If successful, the U.S.-Canada-Mexico bid would return the World Cup to the United States for the first time since 1994.

The USA will host 60 of the 80 games, with 10 each in Mexico and Canada.

Everton Buys Gylfi Sigurdsson For Club-Record $58M

Everton has agreed upon a £45 million ($58 million) transfer with Swansea City for Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Sigurdsson will become Everton's record signing, beating the £31.8 million they paid Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku in 2014.

Ronald Koeman had been pursuing Sigurdsson for several weeks.

Lionel Messi Offered To Help Neymar Win Ballon d'Or To Stay With Barca

Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez attempted to convince Neymar to remain with Barcelona before his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

"What do you want? You want to be the Ballon d'Or? I'll make you Ballon d'Or," Messi reportedly told Neymar. Messi said he "would do everything he could to help Neymar achieve his goal."

The meeting allegedly happened on July 21st before Barcelona's friendly in New Jersey against Juventus.

Messi and Suarez were unaware Neymar had already made up his mind on a transfer to PSG.

Stoke City Confirms Loan Deal With PSG For Jese Rodriguez

Stoke City will confirm a loan deal with Paris Saint-Germain with Jese Rodriguez. 

Jese, who cost PSG almost £22 million last summer, has made just one league start for the French side to date and spent the second half of last season on loan at Las Palmas.

Jese was sold previously by Real Madrid.

Controlling Interest Of Southampton Sold To Gao Jisheng For $272.3M

Southampton have confirmed that the Chinese businessman Gao Jisheng has completed a takeover of the club, acquiring an 80% stake for around £210 million.

The deal ends more than 12 months of talks between the Gao family and the south coast club.

In November, the two parties failed to come to an agreement after entering a six-week exclusivity period.

Spurs Pursuing $47M Transfer With Ajax For Davinson Sanchez

Tottenham Hotspur have opened talks with Ajax over Davinson Sanchez. 

Spurs sold Kyle Walker to Manchester City for £50 million and need to reinforce their back line. Sanchez is viewed as a perfect complement to Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen in Mauricio Pochettino's back three.

Tottenham officials are believed to have travelled to Amsterdam on Monday to continue negotiations, with Ajax holding out for a fee close to €40 million ($47 million) given that Sánchez still has four years of his contract to run.

Chelsea Demands Diego Costa Return To Club

Chelsea has demanded Diego Costa return to training with the club get fit to be a first-team selection.

Costa gave an interview from his home in Brazil where he claimed that Chelsea had treated him “like a criminal” over his desire to leave the club this summer.

Chelsea have made four demands of Costa if he's to restore relations: 1. return to the club, 2. report for training, 3. get match fit, 4. put himself into contention for their starting XI.

Costa has been in a dispute with Antonio Conte for months.

Costa is believed to have been absent without leave from Chelsea since the club flew to China for a pre-season tour in the middle of July.

Costa is seeking a transfer to Atletico Madrid.
