Borussia Dortmund have signed Paco Alcacer on a one-year loan from Barcelona.

Dortmund paid €2 million for the loan and could keep the 24-year-old for an additional €23 million next summer. 

Alcacer leaves Barcelona two years after joining from Valencia. Having appeared in only 37 La Liga matches since then, he is now hoping to revive his career in Germany.

"I'm looking forward to playing in the Bundesliga, one of the best leagues in the world, and for BVB in front of those incredible fans and the famous Yellow Wall, which is something magical for probably every footballer," Alcacer said.

Mateo Kovacic will join Chelsea on a loan for the 18-19 season.

Kovacic would return to Real Madrid next summer.

Kovacic is still 24 years old and seems destined to be a starter for Real Madrid once Luka Modric leaves or enters his decline. 

Chelsea have sent Matt Miazga on a season-long loan to Nantes.

Miazga signed a new contract with Chelsea through the 2021-22 season.

Miazga joined Chelsea in January 2016 from New York Red Bulls.

Miazga spent the last two seasons on loan with Vitesse Arnhem, making 72 appearances in all competitions and helping them win the Dutch Cup for the first time in 2017.

Sime Vrsaljko has left Atletico Madrid for a loan deal with Inter Milan.

Vrsaljko also looked to leave in the January transfer window.

Vrsaljko played in just 54 of 117 matches during his time with Atleti.
