Luka Modric has agreed to a one-year contract extension with Real Madrid until June 2024.

Modric joined Real Madrid in 2012 from Tottenham Hotspur.

Modric received interest from Saudi Arabia in recent weeks. 

The Real Madrid midfield is incredibly crowded with Modric, Toni Kroos, Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde and Dani Ceballos.

N'Golo Kante has agreed to join Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia on a deal worth €100 million ($107 million) per season through 2024 with an option for an additional year.

Kante was close to signing a contract extension with Chelsea this year but the deal was not finalized. Kante struggled with injuries this season and was limited to just nine appearances with Chelsea. 

The money being paid to Kante includes image rights, commercial deals and an investment portfolio.
