Neymar could be out for the remainder of the World Cup group stage with an ankle injury.

Neymar and Danilo have both been ruled out of Brazil's next group stage match against Switzerland. 

Neymar was fouled repeatedly by Serbia in the match before coming off the pitch in tears in the 80th minute. 

Harry Kane will undergo a scan on his right ankle after he was injured on a heavy tackle during England's 6-2 win over Iran on Monday.

Although manager Gareth Southgate insisted Kane was "fine" after the match, sources have confirmed the scan will be done.

Kane has a history of ankle ligament injuries, suffering them during both his 2018 and 2019 Premier League campaigns.

Karim Benzema has been ruled out of the World Cup after suffering an injury to his left thigh during training.

Benzema felt a strong pain in his thigh during a sprint toward the end of the training session.

After undergoing an MRI, it was confirmed that Benzema had suffered a muscle tear that would need three weeks of recovery time.

France's other forward options in their squad include 2018 star Kylian Mbappe as well Antoine Griezmann, Olivier Giroud, Marcus Thuram and Ousmane Dembele.
