Jozy Altidore has signed a five-year contract worth approximately $30 million with Toronto FC.

Altidore came to Toronto FC in a swap with Sunderland for Jermain Defoe.

Altidore struggled with Sunderland, but there's hope he can revive his career in the MLS.

New York City FC plans to formally announce the signing of U.S. international midfielder Mix Diskerud on Tuesday.

MLS sources confirmed to ESPN FC that a deal has been struck to import Diskerud as NYCFC's third big-name signing alongside Spanish striker David Villa and England midfield stalwart Frank Lampard.

Diskerud is out of contract after spending much of the past three years at Rosenborg in Norway.

Steven Gerrard will join the LA Galaxy on an 18-month contract.

Gerrard will begin MLS play after the Premier League season ends on a pro-rated deal worth $6 million (3.9 million pounds) a year. 

Gerrard announced this week that he will leave Liverpool after the current season.
