Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the highest paid player in MLS with a guaranteed compensation of $7.2 million, released the MLS Players Association after adjusting for the summer transfer window.

Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore, Carlos Vela, and Bastian Schweinsteiger round out the top 5.

The average base salary is $371,538, while the median base salary is $163,750.

Toronto FC leads the league in payroll at $24.3 million. 

The Vancouver Whitecaps have the lowest payroll at $8.1 million.
