Arsenal will have a £100 million transfer budget this summer with striker being the most pressing need.

Key sponsorship deals that were crucial to secure the funding for the Emirates Stadium have been renewed and the club’s revenue streams will receive a year-on-year boost of around £70 million.

Arsenal will become one of the select few clubs in Europe to generate more than £300 million a year.

The £100 million summer budget is for transfers and salary, which could put them in prime position to land Mario Mandzukic, Jackson Martínez, Julian Draxler or Diego Costa.

Arsenal’s wage-bill for next season is expected to rise to around £165 million but the club could still increase that outlay by around £20 million and retain a sustainable wages-to-revenue ratio.
