Arsenal is interested in hiring Luis Enrique to replace Arsene Wenger, but he is seeking a salary on level with Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho.

Arsenal's head of football relations, Raul Sanllehi, knows Luis Enrique well from his time working with him at the Camp Nou and has been championing his case to succeed Wenger.

Guardiola and Mourinho each earn approximately £15 million per season.

Enrique hasn't returned to managing since leaving Barcelona at the end of last season.
