Danny Rose has signed a new five-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur.

Rose committed to Spurs until 2021.

Rose has been out of Mauricio Pochettino’s side since August due to a hamstring injury but amy return on Saturday when Tottenham face Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.

Speaking to Spurs TV, he said: “We all want to go out and prove that last season was not a one-off with us finishing third.

“Right now I am so happy, I am settled here, I am slowly turning into a southerner so I hope I can stay for a very long time and see where it takes me. At the minute I wouldn’t wish for anything more than to play for Spurs for the rest of my career.

“It’s been a great couple of weeks for the club with Dele, Eric, Christian and Harry Winks all signing contracts. Everyone knows that the club is going in the right direction and I’m over the moon that I’ll stay here until I’m an old man!”
