Manchester United have been in touch with Paul Pogba and Juventus on a transfer deal but he's waiting to see if Real Madrid will also pursue him.

Pogba left United in 2012 for Juventus on a free transfer.

Jose Mourinho has identified central midfield as an area for United to address.

Pogba will likely command a fee of more than £65 million.

Madrid president Florentino Perez is also a huge fan of Pogba and told Marca last month that he considers him a "great player," although he added: "I don't want to talk about him, but I will say that in midfield we have six great players."

United is offering Juan Mata to Juventus as part of their deal for Pogba.
