Paul Pogba will not join Barcelona on a transfer this season from Juventus.

Barcelona announced last week they had made an offer to Juventus to acquire Pogba but it was rejected.

Josep Maria Bartomeu told Spanish sports newspaper Marca that Barca will not make another offer for Pogba before 2016, saying: "This year we will not sign Pogba because he is not part of our sporting plans."

Barca on Monday announced the signing of Turkish midfielder Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid, and had previously acquired Sevilla defender Aleix Vidal.
