Manchester United is considering a move for Athletic Bilbao's Aymeric Laporte.

The 20-year-old French central defender has a £30 million buyout clause that could be a stumbling block.

United have retained an interest in the player for a while and, though Laporte has previously stated he is happy at Athletic, the 20-times champions believe he could be persuaded to consider a move to Old Trafford.

Manchester City, Arsenal and Real Madrid are also interested in Laporte, but United has a good working relationship with Athletic.
