Real Madrid are preparing a bid for Kylian Mbappe amid his new availability by Paris Saint-Germain.

Madrid came close to signing Mbappe last summer before he extended his contract with PSG.

Mbappe's current deal with PSG expires in 2024, but the club either wants to extend him or sell him this summer.

Mbappe released a statement via AFP on Tuesday that read: "The board has been informed since July 15, 2022 of my decision not to extend beyond 2024, and the letter sent was only meant to confirm what I already told them."

Madrid are looking for a center forward to replace Karim Benzema.
