Tottenham Hotspur have realized they will likely lose Toby Alderweireld as he's been reluctant to discuss an extension.
Spurs triggered their extension through 2020, which actives a £25 million release clause.
Alderweireld cost Spurs £11.5 million in July 2015 and would have likely accepted an offer in that range last summer with Manchester United and Barcelona linked.
