Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham are all monitoring 17-year-old Ajax midfielder Jorthy Mokio, according to TEAMtalk sources.

The Dutch youth international made his Ajax first-team debut last season and has accumulated 60 minutes of playing time this campaign. Barcelona and Real Madrid are also tracking the teenager's development at the Amsterdam club.

Mokio previously rejected offers from Barcelona and Bayern Munich before joining Ajax from Belgian side KAA Gent last year. His decision to choose Ajax over established European powers demonstrates his commitment to development opportunities.

The midfielder's rapid progression through Ajax's academy has attracted widespread attention from Europe's elite clubs. 

Ajax typically demands significant fees for their promising academy graduates following recent high-profile sales. The club has established a reputation for developing young talent before selling to major European leagues.

Mokio's age means any potential transfer would likely involve substantial development clauses and future sell-on percentages. Premier League clubs have increased their focus on securing young Dutch talent following successful acquisitions from Eredivisie clubs.

The teenager's contract situation at Ajax remains unclear, though his recent first-team involvement suggests the club values his long-term potential. Multiple club interest indicates Mokio could command a premium fee despite his limited senior experience.

TransferMarket currently has a €8 million valuation for Mokio.

John Heitinga has been appointed manager of Ajax, leaving his post as assistant manager of Liverpool. Heitinga was previously interim manager of Ajax for the second half of the 2022-23 season following the dismissal of Alfred Schreuder. Heitinga will replace Francesco Farioli, who guided Ajax to a second place finish behind PSV Eindhoven.

Upon joining the club, Heitinga said: “I am incredibly excited to start. The last years in England have done me a lot of good. I’ve been able to develop further alongside David Moyes and Arne Slot, while also getting a behind-the-scenes look at two major clubs.

“I’m ready to continue as a head coach and I’m honoured to be given that opportunity at Ajax.”

Heitinga joined Slot after holding a similar role under David Moyes at West Ham.

West Ham have signed Edson Alvarez from Ajax on a $41.9 million transfer fee.

We're really pleased to add Edson to our squad," West Ham manager David Moyes said after his first signing of the summer transfer window.

"The midfield area was one we were especially keen to strengthen this summer, and Edson will complement the other options we have in that department.

"He's an experienced international player who has enjoyed great success for both club and country during his career to date."

Arsenal have signed Jurrien Timber from Ajax on a $45 million transfer.

Timber can play either right-back or center-back.

"We're really excited that Jurrien has joined us," Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said in a statement. "He is a versatile young defender, who will fit into our system and provide our squad with so much added quality.

"Jurrien is a young player, but has already achieved so much. He has experienced what it's like to go to a major international tournament on more than one occasion, as well as the trophies he has won with Ajax. We look forward to welcoming and integrating Jurrien into the squad."

Manchester United have agreed to buy Antony from Ajax for €100 million.

Erik Ten Hag wants the Brazilian to strengthen his striking options. The manager has Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Elanga, Anthony Martial and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The fee for Antony surpasses the £80 million United paid Leicester to sign Harry Maguire in July 2019 but falls short of the £93.2 million spent on Pogba in August 2016.

Manchester United will hire Erik ten Hag as their next manager.

Ten Hag had been on a four-man shortlist alongside Paris Saint-Germain's Mauricio Pochettino, Spaincoach Luis Enrique and Sevilla's Julen Lopetegui. Chelsea's Thomas Tuchel and Bayern Munich's Julian Nagelsmann were ruled out as being unattainable due to their commitment to their present employers.

Ten Hag will leave Ajax for the position with United at the end of the season.

Manchester United has interested Erik ten Hag for their managerial vacancy.

Paris Saint-Germain's Mauricio Pochettino, Spain coach Luis Enrique and Sevilla's Julen Lopetegui are also on the club's shortlist to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

John Murtough, United's director of football, is leading the search for the club's fifth permanent manager since Sir Alex Ferguson retired and sources have told ESPN that Ten Hag and Pochettino, whose teams were both eliminated alongside United at the Champions League round-of-16 stage, are the leading candidates at this stage.

Tottenham Hotspur have interest in hiring Erik ten Hag as manager and plan to meet with him once Ajax wraps up the Eredivisie title.

Although nothing is agreed as yet and Spurs have other candidates, including Ralf Rangnick, Ten Hag is understood to be open to listening to their proposal.

Spurs had wanted Julian Nagelsmann to become the permanent successor to José Mourinho, who they sacked last week, only for Bayern to secure him as the successor to Hansi Flick.

Ten Hag is committed to front-foot football and has brought through many young players.

Barcelona has signed Sergino Dest from Ajax for €21 million.

Dest is a 19-year-old USMNT right-back.

Dest was also on Bayern Munich's radar, but Ronald Koeman was key in securing the deal.

Manchester United and Ajax have agreed to a $53 million fee for attacker Donny van de Beek.

United are set to discuss personal terms with the 23-year-old. 

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly tracked Van de Beek for over a year.

Van de Beek was also on Barcelona's radar.
