Manchester United's Shola Shoretire Makes UEFA Youth League History

Dec 12, 2018 1:11 PM

14-year-old Manchester United winger Shola Shoretire became the youngest player ever to appear in a UEFA Youth League match.

He broke the previous record set by Benfica keeper Mile Svilar, who broke Iker Casillas' record.

U19 manager Nicky Butt put Shoretire on in the 74th minute as United's 2-1 win over Valencia saw them through to the knockout round. Shoretire has trained with the England national side but is still eligible to represent Nigeria.
