Real Madrid are discussing a new contract with Dani Carvajal's agent, Ginés Carvajal.

The fullback narrowly missed out on a spot in Spain's World Cup roster.

In 2012 Carvajal was sold to Bayer Leverkusen for €5.5m, and after an outstanding season where he was named as the Bundesliga's best fullback, he rejoined Madrid on the buyback option that the club had inserted into his contract.

He signed until 2019 on a deal reported to be worth about €1.5 million per year, which is set to increase to €2.5 million, equalling the salary received by the Spaniards fellow fullbacks Marcelo Coentrao and Arbeloa.
