Frank Lampard expressed interest in the open Chelsea role after Maurizio Sarri left the position for Juventus.

Lampard has reportedly emerged as the favorite to replace Sarri.

Chelsea would have to give Derby compensation if they were to hire Lampard. 

“There is no change except that Chelsea no longer have a manager. Of course, we have made it very clear to everyone, but most importantly to Frank, that we want to retain Frank for the long-term, said Derby County chairman Mel Morris.
