James Rodriguez received his Spanish citizenship and will no longer count as a foreign player in La Liga.

La Liga sides are only able to register 3 non-EU players on their roster. Real Madrid will register Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, and Eder Militao in those slots next season.

Real Madrid are interested in bringing Rodriguez back from loan once it expires after this season.
