Liverpool lead the Premier League in money spent on agent fees transfer during the 17-18 season.

The 20 clubs of the Premier League combined to spend more than £211 million ($296 million) to agents, which was £37 million more than the previous record in 16-17.

Liverpool alone paid £26.8 million in agent fees as they acquired Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Chelsea ranked second with £25 million paid to agents over 51 deals.

Manchester City were the third highest paying, £23 million spent in agents’ fees; Manchester United’s payments of £18 million were the fourth highest – followed, surprisingly, by Watford, who spent £13.4 million.
