Sam Allardyce is set to be named manager of England.

Allardyce was hired recently as manager of Sunderland to help them avoid relegation.

Apart from being well versed in psychology, the FA are adamant the new manager must not be a “short-term mercenary” as he will be handed a brief that extends well beyond the senior side.

Before his Sunderland appointment, Allardyce was manager of West Ham from 2011 until 2015.
