Barcelona defeated Sevilla 2-0 in extra time to win the 2016 Copa del Rey.

With Javier Mascherano picking up a red card in the 35th minute, Barcelona had to play most of the match with 10 men and also without Luis Suarez, who came off with an injured hamstring.

Luis Enrique pulled out Ivan Rakitic at halftime and put Jeremy Mathieu in at center-back.

Banega brought down Neymar towards the end of the second half to have the two sides play extra time 10 vs. 10.

Lionel Messi played a perfect pass in the 97th minute to Jordi Alba breaking towards goal to give Barcelona a 1-0 lead. Neymar added a second goal for Barcelona in the 120th minute to finish off the match.

It is a bittersweet double for Barcelona as they were eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Champions League by Atletico Madrid one season after winning the treble.
