Ángel di María doesn't believe his former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo will eventually join him at Manchester United.

"I don't think that he will return here, it is very difficult to leave Real Madrid," Di Maria said on local radio, according to AS.com. "He is doing very well there -- therefore, I don't see a reason why he would want a change."

Ronaldo, 29, signed a new contract with Madrid in September 2013, keeping him at the club for a further five years.

Madrid have always said they are not willing to sell their prized asset and his agent Jorge Mendes revealed recently that he would end his career in Spain but could then move to play in the United States.
