Arsenal has qualified for the Champions League in each of the last 16 years and have made it out of the group stages in 14 successive seasons.

But Arsène Wenger has been given fewer resources to play with in the transfer market than other top clubs in the Premier League.

"Over the last 10 years, a Premier League table of transfer business would put Arsenal fourth from bottom, with an average net yearly spend of £1.6 million. Only Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Everton have spent less. Chelsea's average is £52.5 million, Manchester City's £46.1 million and Manchester United's £18.6 million.
