Cristiano Ronaldo is seeking a new 10-year contract with Real Madrid.

Ronaldo's current deal runs until June of 2018 and talks between his agent, Jorge Mendes, and Florentino Perez have already begun.

Ronaldo, who is now 31, has said he can envision playing with Real Madrid until he's 40.

Ronaldo was asked about the status of the talks after Saturday's match.

"I don't know, you would have to talk with the president," said Ronaldo. "Things are going well. The media have written it already, you know more than me. If I were the Madrid president, I would give me 10 more years.

"I don't see anything else in my career [except Madrid]," Ronaldo added. "That is what I want most. This is the biggest club in the world, so it should have the best players."
