Morgan Schneiderlin has continued to emerge as one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League after a summer in which Southampton blocked potential moves to Arsenal and Tottenham.

Schneiderlin would like to leave Saints if they don't reach the Champions League with a top-4 finish.

“I just turned 25, I turned a corner. I want to play for a big club as a career passes quickly,” Schneiderlin said. “Today I am in Southampton. We are second in the Premier League, we have done well. We’ll see what will happen if we are still in the Champions League places at the end of the season and I will make the choice. I will see with my club.”

Schneiderlin nearly joined Arsenal in 2008 when he arrived in England and the club has a huge need for a holding midfielder.
