Juventus defender Daniele Rugani tested positive for coronavirus, according to the club.

Rugani has no symptoms of the illness.

“The footballer, Daniele Rugani has tested positive for Coronavirus-COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic. Juventus Football Club is currently activating all the isolation procedures required by law, including those who have had contact with him," released the club in a statement.

The 25-year-old centerback is the first Serie A player to test positive for the virus.

Serie A has been suspended until April 3rd.
