Robert Lewandowski is expected to miss the next 4 weeks after fracturing his tibia during Bayern Munich's 3-0 win over Chelsea in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16.

Lewandowski is expected to miss the second leg of the match.

David Alaba said that Lewandowski should be considered on the same level as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo after his performance against Chelsea, which included 2 assists and 1 goal.

“He is a world-class player and a world-class striker,” said Alaba. “We all know he can score goals and he showed today another side of himself by putting assists. We know he is very important to us and we are grateful to have him. He shows it every weekend. He is one of the best, and maybe the best, striker in the world. He scores goals in almost every game and, of course, I think he deserves to be at the top and spoken about with those guys [Messi and Ronaldo].”
