Alexis Sanchez has picked up a calf injury during his training on Tuesday with Chile.

There were initial fears of a torn calf muscle for Sanchez but it is now deemed to be a light muscle strain.

Sanchez will miss his country's World Cup qualifying match against Colombia in Barranquilla on Thursday, but will be evaluated before the Nov. 15 match against Uruguay.

"The medical staff of Chile's national team would like to inform that Alexis Sanchez has a low grade muscle injury. He will remain in Santiago, under treatment and his participation for Chile against Uruguay will be evaluated."
