Steven Gerrard will be out approximately three weeks with a hamstring injury.

Gerrard was substituted after 68 minutes of Tuesday's 3-2 Premier League win over Tottenham after complaining of the problem.

Liverpool assistant manager Colin Pascoe told a news conference: "Unfortunately, Steven had to come off during the Tottenham game. He's had the scan this morning, and we're just waiting for the results to come back."

Manager Brendan Rodgers has already suffered one injury setback in midfield this week, with Lucas Leiva ruled out for between four and six weeks after suffering a thigh injury during last Saturday's 0-0 draw at Everton.
