Borussia Monchengladbach players agreed to partially waive their salaries as a result of a suspension in matchplay.

There are concerns that several clubs in Germany could collapse due to the coronavirus crisis.

"For the next few weeks and months we have to realise that only a continuation of the Bundesliga games -- without spectators -- will allow many clubs to survive economically," said sporting director Max Eberl.

The Bundesliga is scheduled to return in early April, though that seems unlikely.

The league could lose $800 million in revenue if the rest of this season is cancelled.
