Arsenal has signed Laurent Koscielny to a long-term contract.

The 28-year-old French defender becomes the eighth first-team player to commit his future to the Gunners following Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey, Tomas Rosicky, Theo Walcott, Wojciech Szczesny, Serge Gnabry, Gedion Zelalem and his defensive partner Per Mertesacker.

Manager Arsene Wenger added: "Laurent has proven himself to be an outstanding player since joining us in 2010 and has showed his quality once again this season. I am delighted he has decided to commit his future to the club."
