Robert Lewandowski talked up his development since arriving at Bayern Munich from Borussia Dortmund.

Lewandowski has been criticized for a return of 13 goals in 24 league games, but insists his all-round game is actually far better now.

"No striker nowadays can just stand inside the penalty area and wait to score goals," he told Bayern's official website.

"I've been at Bayern for about six months and I'm now better at my art; every day I train with great players.

"Of course you can always play better and score more goals but I'm a player who thinks of the team.

"At Dortmund the defense would play long balls for me to chase but here the decisive criteria is possession."
