Pep Guardiola insists that he will not be returning to Barcelona if the club decides to part ways with Luis Enrique.

AS maintain the board has asked former Bayern Munich and Real Madrid boss Jupp Heynckes to come out of retirement and take over until the end of the season, but there have also been reports they could tempt Guardiola back from Bayern Munich.

"I'm not the solution," he said in quotes reported by Mundodeportivo. "There is a lot of great options and I'm sure the right people will make the right decisions to maintain Barça's spot as one of the greatest clubs in the world."

Another rumour circled around Guardiola becoming the club's next sporting director if Joan Laporta returns as president after the upcoming elections, but the man himself scotched that talk saying: "Laporta has never said that. You might have read it but it never came out of his mouth."
